EXPO-SCÈNE 2025 A Huge Success

EXPO-SCÈNE 2025, presented by CITT/ICTS, has once again proven itself as the premier event for Canada’s entertainment technology and live events industry. Held on April 16 & 17 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, the show welcomed a record number of attendees, confirming its growing influence and critical role in the industry.
This year’s sold-out show floor featured 80 exhibitors and was marked by a strong turnout from both Canadian and U.S. participants, despite ongoing economic challenges. The increase in U.S.-based exhibitors and attendees further underscores EXPO-SCÈNE’s expanding appeal beyond Canadian borders.
A notable feature of the 2025 edition was the return of Demo Rooms, which featured five exclusive spaces showcasing innovative sound technologies such as d&b audiotechnik's highly anticipated CCL system and Meyer Sound's most powerful point-source loudspeaker, the ULTRA-X80, as well as the latest innovations in lighting from Minuit Une, Cameo, and Portman Lights. These demo rooms were met with enthusiasm and provided attendees with immersive, hands-on experiences with the new technologies.
The show also saw the successful reintroduction of pre-show training workshops, with one- and two-day sessions on key systems such as grandMA3, Vectorworks Spotlight and ETC’s Ion Xe console, as well as a one-day Event Safety Forum, drawing strong participation and reinforcing the event's educational value. Meanwhile, the popular TEC Talk series, held on the trade show floor and open to all, continued to spark meaningful discussions, offering insights into key topics relevant to the entertainment technology and live events sector.
EXPO-SCÈNE 2025 proudly welcomed many first-time exhibitors, as well as the return of long-time favourites, creating a dynamic and diverse exhibition floor that blended cutting-edge innovation with trusted expertise. From emerging startups to established global brands, the range of exhibitors delivered an engaging and discovery-filled experience for all attendees.
“This year’s edition of EXPO-SCÈNE has exceeded our expectations,” says Monique Corbeil, coordinator of EXPO-SCÈNE 2025. “The sold-out show floor, strong international presence, and overwhelming interest in our workshops and demo rooms reaffirmed our position as a key industry platform. We are proud to say that EXPO-SCÈNE continued on its mission to connect the people, technologies, and ideas that shape the future of live events.”
Attendees praised the spirit of camaraderie felt throughout the event, highlighting not only the access to world-class technologies and professionals, but also the community-building aspect that makes EXPO-SCÈNE unique.
As organizers look ahead to EXPO-SCÈNE 2026, preparations are already underway to build on this momentum—promising even more innovation, inspiration, and opportunities for discovery.
“I am incredibly excited about the next edition of EXPO-SCÈNE, which will take place on April 15 and 16, 2026,” says Jacquie Lazar, Executive Director of CITT/ICTS. “If the energy and participation of 2025 is anything to go by, 2026 should not disappoint. We're thrilled with how much exhibitors and attendees are enjoying the show, and we're proud to continue to bring this must-attend event to the Canadian market.”
