CITT/ICTS Announces Call for Sessions for Rendez-vous 2024
The Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology / Institut canadien des technologies scénographiques (CITT/ICTS) is now accepting proposals for Educational Sessions, TEC Talks, Hands-on Workshops, Roundtables and Panel Discussions for its August 2024 annual conference.
The conference committee is seeking presentations on a variety of topics in all areas of production for the live entertainment industry, including, but not limited to, Technical and Production Management, Stage Management, Stage Technology, Stage Carpentry, Rigging, Lighting, Sound, Video, Properties, Wardrobe, Design, Architecture, Health & Safety and EDI. Topics should be timely and relevant. Presentations with a focus on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) as well as on diversity initiatives for IBPoC identifying professionals are encouraged. The Rendez-vous Annual Conference and Trade Show is a yearly event that brings together emerging and seasoned professionals from all fields of the live performing arts technologies for 4 days of professional development and networking. Held in a different Canadian province every year, the conference is open to CITT/ICTS members and non-members alike. Its 34th edition will be held August 14 to 17, 2024 at the Persephone Theatre, Remai Arts Centre, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
In addition to the sessions, the programming will offer many networking opportunities such as the Rendez-vous Opening Soirée, the CITT/ICTS Awards Night, AGM Luncheon, the ever-famous Swag Bingo Funraising Night, whose proceeds go to The AFC, and a 2-Day industry Trade Show.
